As a dedicated membership, we have hosted many events over the years ranging from natural horsemanship clinics, trail rides, lesson programs, dressage and driving clinics and keur clinics, just to name few. From these fun filled events, our membership continues to enjoy their learned talents either on their own at home or show them through our very popular annual Friesian Classic Horse Show.

Please consider joining our club. If you own a registered FHANA or FPS Friesian or would like to simply enjoy knowing more about them thru our club, there’s a membership for you.

As a club, we strive to encourage our membership to enjoy their beautiful Friesian Horses and engage in activities in which to promote the Friesian Breed.

We are a chapter of the FHANA (Friesian Horse Association of North America) a sister registry of the original FPS located in Holland, of which we adopt our Friesian standards from.

Board Members

Dear Members,

It’s a very exciting time to be part of the Northeast Friesian Horse Club! With this new year
brings a new board with many first-time members and a chorus of fresh ideas to reinvigorate
our club. As your new president, I encourage you to approach the board with your questions,
concerns and ideas. Our objective is to bring a new level of transparency and accountability, to
help make our club stand out from the rest.

And that’s not all that’s new. Look for a refreshed website and more social media posts – we
need your pictures and content. Please submit to Jamie Savoie at
Look for details on our first clinic of the year to be held at my farm, Mountain View Training
Center in Granby, MA on April 15th. Planned speakers include Dr. Charlie Brown and our very
own vice president, Susan Porter, who will speak on breeding and what you need to know
specifically about Friesian breeding.

There will be an open board meeting held after the clinic and I encourage you to attend and
meet the new board in person. The club is very interested in sponsoring more clinics and hope
you’ll consider hosting a club event at your facility – it’s a great opportunity to showcase your
business and network with more of the membership.

Our show dates are now set and you can mark your calendars for our annual Classic Horse
Show to be held on June 22nd – 24 th in Deerfield, NH with an added clinic option in advance of
the show. And finally, I’m excited to announce that we are adding a second show and clinic
option to the schedule on August 24 th -27 th at the Big E in West Springfield, MA. The inaugural
Midnight Classic Open Horse Show is expected to draw Friesians, Gypsies, Andalusians and
more – additional details to follow.

Please remember to renew your membership – the updated form and payment options,
including PayPal, have been updated on the website.
Thank you for your continued support of the club and I’m personally grateful for your
confidence in me and the new board as we refresh and re-energize the club.
