2007 YEAR END AWARDS
PROGRAM RULES
GENERAL
RULES
-
Owner of the horse must
be a current member of NEFHC and in good standing.

If the
year-end award is being judged by the rider (ex: Jr.
Exhibitor, Leadline) then the rider must be a full member or
associate member of NEFHC and in good
standing.

Points
will start to accrue when the membership application is
received.

Friesian
horse must be Dutch Registered. FPS/FHANA.
-
To be
eligible for year-end awards your points must be from an
USEF, ADS, NEHC or other state “rated”
show.

Points
are based on horse regardless of the rider except for Jr.
Exhibitor and Leadline. If there is a change
in ownership during the year any qualifying points will be
retained with the horse provided the new owner has a current
membership. A
lessee will be considered as the owner of a leased horse for
the purposes of year end awards providing a copy of the
lease agreement is provided to the NEFHC point secretary
with the submission of year end points.

To be
eligible for the Dressage year-end award the points must be
from a USDF/USEF affiliated show. Points will count
from Walk/Trot, Training, First, Second, Third and Fourth
Level Classes. Point system will be the same as the show
division.
Results must be submitted by placing (i.e.
1st, 2nd, 3rd not by
score).

To be
eligible for NEFHC Horse of the Year award horse must have
competed in Model, Friesian Pleasure or Friesian Driving and
the Open Pleasure Division. HOY will be awarded
to the horse with the most combined points accumulated in
these divisions.

The
Trail Division:
Riders in this division are not competing against
other riders; they are accumulating miles over a period of
years and must be a NEFHC member at the time each mile is
being accrued.
This division is based solely on the honor system and
the miles need not be accumulated at a sanctioned
event.
Achievement awards will be given to each horse/rider
combination that accumulates miles in the following
increments:
50 miles
100
miles
250
miles
500 miles
750
miles
1000 miles
Any
horse/rider combination that reaches one of these achievement
levels during the year will receive their award at the Annual
General Meeting or Awards Banquet. Please note that the
miles role over from year to year. So if you ride 75
miles in year X they will be carried over and added to any
miles ridden in year Y.
Also the miles must be garnered by the same horse and
rider. If you
sell your horse and get a new one or ride a different mount
each time on a trail ride then you must keep track of miles
per each horse that you ride.

Points
must be submitted to the point secretary by December
15th.
Point submission forms are mailed out annually and
are also here submission form Points must be
submitted via the NEFHC points form to be
counted.
11. The awards committee reserves
the right to add, delete or combine division awards as results
warrant. Champion
and Reserve ribbons will be presented in all divisions as
entries warrant.
The awards committee/point secretary reserves the right
to eliminate from competition anyone who submits improper
results or reduce submitted points if they are not from a
rated show.
NEFHC YEAR END POINT
SYSTEM

Points will start from January 1,
through November 30 of the current year. Points will start to
accrue when membership is received.

1st
place receives 7 points, 2nd place 5 points,
3rd place 4 points, 4th place 3 points
5th place 2 points and 6th place 1
point.

Champion
Classes will be doubled: Champion 14 points, Reserve
Champion 10 points 3rd place 8 points and so
on.

NEFHC Classic Horse Show and IFSHA
Grand National points will be doubled.

FHANA
World Show points will be tripled.
